Outside of show up on some random date and be thrust into a random fight is there any method or plan behind it all?
Thanks.|||I'm more than willing to make another attempt at this but people have to show up for this to be successful like 360's events. While Rupp allows players to pick what weights they want to fight in it allows for a bit of confusion. So if the community is interested well start by seeing how many people are willing to show up Friday Night starting at 9pm est. When you sign up just put your preferred weight and we'll go from there. The weight that most people prefer we'll go with and see where it leads.
Champions will remain champions even if we aren't fighting in their weight class. Once more people start getting involved where we have too many for one weight we'll again discuss the next preferred weight and the last champion will retake the title and start defending. While Rupp allows his fighters to choose when they defend I think all champs should be a fighting champ so every week you'll defend. Then at the end of the month we'll pick the best fights possible for the PPV.
OTHER OPTIONS:
Obviously if someone thinks they have a better idea and are willing to step up to prove that it considerably better we'll look at that as an option.
We also could go back to the week long Prize Fighting Tournament and take all the fighters from there. But this requires quite of bit of time being put into a ranked style of fighting.
If no one has any other suggestions I have no problem going back to offering the fights to the leagues who really help keep this game alive.|||
I'm here with 8 master belts in a PS3 fightcard. Make that the PS3 LB. Do something for Christs sake.
I tried to run everyone that was at least a legit and respected fighter for the first week and tailgate party LB. I got 5 actual people to show up that said they were interested and signed up for the first week and for an actual LB where I hand picked fights I got 4 fighters show up after I personally reached out to all of the fighter to arrange special fights for that event from memorable previous fights. That meant that after verbally telling me they would show up and accepted the fight AND time slot 6 fighters no showed on me. The time I invested in making fight notes and videos to hype those fighters and fights was wasted because they didn't seem interested.
If you're in a fight card with 8 masters then tell them to show up here on the forums reply to this thread that they will show up Friday Night at 9pm est. All of them need to leave their PSN name, what weight they prefer and I'll make it a private card so we don't get any stragglers at this point and we'll start there.
But the real reason for 360's success and PS3 not having success is the community not the system, myself or the fact I still haven't gotten a new headset. Its the community didn't show up on PS3. 360 started the same way and Rupp adjusted on the fly but those guys showed up to work the system out.|||I just don't think the forums are used as much on ps3 side. The community is there. And yes, a Mic would help you to get the people that don't visit the forums involved. You accepting invites to fight cards or making your own fighters would also help you get involved in the community.
I had a fightcard open for 3 hours and had 15-20 different black belt and up level fighters show up. 90% had mics and we arranged all sorts of matchups at weightclasses each person wanted all on the fly.

Sorry for trying to protect players free choice against hard nosed tsc players who want to cry.
Second I also didnt realize that in trying to play and enjoy the game as I want in my free time would hurt your feelings. I choose when I play this game to play ranked so I can go away from the ps3 to play with my daughter some but still be online to answer the million Questions I get a night. On top of that Im in severalchat rooms most of the time to interact with the players who go there ( efc omma and the chat room nrg set up). While you might not care about your belt color king i would like at some point to finish with the red masters so spending 4 hrs in fights cards defeats that goal. Maybe instead of random invites being spammed someone should ask if i hve the time to sit down an do some fight cards and Ill try to make a bit of time.|||

All youve ever done is cry since you joined these forums and quite frankly youre starting to get to the annoyance level of LoyatlyTheGreat. You keep asking for answers but When I give you those answers you come back with your cry baby moaning about me not joining your fight cards. Frankly I could care less about fight cards. I know I personally dont enjoy sitting aroud listening to you blare your music. I would fight from time to time but I have notifications turned off so I dont constantly see the pop ups. Weve been talking back and forth for almost a day now and still only one person has said they wanted to fight Friday night.

i want to do this weekly fightcard with LB once a month.
i dont care with the king dude is talking about he doesn't add anything but hurting the cause for ps3 LB fightcard to happen.
so guys drop the fighting over the net and get in the cage/ring and lets fight like the 360 side is do weekly.

i mean fighting with him instead setup something up is what i mean.
i not fighting anyone about who set it up i just want to fight some1 in the cage or ring.
so why dont you set it up or stikstyle set it up or you both put your egos aside and work together to set one up a fight card.
let just make it happen u dig.
